It has been learned that Serdar Ortaç, who was taken into custody along with Mehmet Ali Erbil as part of an illegal betting investigation, did not hear the police at his door because he was asleep and only opened the door half an hour later. Following the initiation of the operation, it was announced that Mehmet Ali Erbil and many other celebrities were quickly taken into custody, while Serdar Ortaç was reported to be wanted and on the run.

As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegation of encouraging illegal gambling, a detention order was issued for 20 suspects, including singer Serdar Ortaç and presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil.
