Sports commentator and head coach Sergen Yalçın spoke about Galatasaray's match against Barcelona. Touching on squad preference, Yalçın commented, "The new transfers at Galatasaray, Rafael Leao, Aleksey Batrakov, Deniz Gül, Lesley Ugochukwu and El Chadaille Bitshiabu, definitely should not play in the Barcelona match. Galatasaray should take the field with its old squad."

Sports commentator and head coach Sergen Yalçın made statements on the Kafa Sports YouTube channel about Galatasaray's match against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

''BARIŞ ALPER'S POSITION IS RIGHT BACK''

Stating that Barış Alper should continue to play in the right-back position, Sergen Yalçın said, ''Barış Alper's position is right back. Why will you say right back? Expectations from a player playing up front are always higher. A player playing at the back is more comfortable. Barış is a strong player. If he comes from behind, he does more work. He will play like a full-back. He tried to play like a winger in the last match. The main job is defense first, then attack. If you have too high expectations from Barış Alper, then you criticize him.''

''HE NEEDS TO PLAY WITH HIS OLD SQUAD''

Speaking about the squad preference in the Barcelona match, Yalçın said, ''The new transfers at Galatasaray Rafael Leao, Aleksey Batrakov, Deniz Gül, Lesley Ugochukwu and El Chadaille Bitshiabu should definitely not play in the Barcelona match. Galatasaray needs to play with its old squad. Galatasaray will definitely need to wait a bit. Maybe they will be useful later, I don't know that. But for now, not at all. I got sleepy while watching. The match became lively when Galatasaray was down to 10 men. Galatasaray won when Osimhen and Lemina came on.'' he assessed.

''IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THE BARCELONA MATCH''

Continuing his words, Sergen Yalçın said, ''The performance in the Kasımpaşa match is not enough for the Barcelona match. That's why I say with the old players. Let's speak from the Galatasaray fans' side, I don't think they are happy with the game.'' he stated.
