It has emerged that 41-year-old Şerife Gezer, who was murdered by being shot with a gun in the middle of the street by Hakan S., from whom she had separated 2 years ago in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, called her father seconds before the attack and said, 'Hakan has blocked my path, he is going to harm me.' The grieving father, stating that his daughter was murdered due to jealousy, said that the man never left them alone. The murder suspect, who locked himself in his workplace after the incident, was taken into custody by police teams.
It has emerged that Şerife Gezer (41), who was killed by a gunshot in Gaziosmanpaşa by Hakan S. (51), had called her father Ahmet Gezer (67) shortly before the attack. It was stated that Gezer told her father, "Hakan has blocked my path, he is going to harm me." Ahmet Gezer, giving a statement to the police, said that Hakan S. had not left his daughter alone since they separated 2 years ago and that the attack may have been motivated by jealousy.
The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. yesterday in the Şemsipaşa neighborhood. Hakan S. blocked the path of Şerife Gezer, with whom he had a romantic relationship for about 10 years and from whom he separated 2 years ago, while she was walking on the road. Hakan S. opened fire, wounding Gezer in the chest and neck. Gezer, who was taken to a private hospital unconscious, could not be saved despite doctors' intervention. Police teams found 2 bullet casings during their examination at the scene.

It was learned that Şerife Gezer's father, Ahmet G., whose testimony was sought by police teams, said, "My daughter Şerife and Hakan S. had a romantic relationship for about 10 years. They separated about 2 years ago, but Hakan S. wouldn't leave my daughter alone. Today, my daughter called me and said, 'Hakan has blocked my path, he is going to harm me.' Then I received the news that my daughter had been wounded. He may have done this because of jealousy."
HE DIDN'T COME OUT OF THE WORKPLACE
Meanwhile, police teams initiated negotiations with Hakan S., who, after the armed attack, entered a nearby workplace and locked himself inside. While security measures were taken in the area, Hakan S. was taken into custody as a result of a controlled intervention. It was learned that Hakan S., who was taken to the police station, had one record for the crime of 'Intentional wounding.' The investigation into the incident continues.
