The Social Security Institution (SGK) made a statement regarding the conditions that citizens must meet to apply for old-age pensions. In the statement, it was reported that the completion of the premium day count is necessary, and the insurance entry date is based on October 2008.
According to the information provided by the Social Security Institution, which concerns millions of people regarding old-age pensions;
- Those who were insured before October 2008,
- Those who apply after January 15, 2025 (inclusive), and
- Insured individuals under the old-age pension status 4/1-(a)
- Those with a work capacity loss of 40-49%, an insurance period of 18 years, and a premium day count of 4100 days will also
- Those with a work capacity loss of 50-59%, an insurance period of 16 years, and a premium day count of 3700 will be granted old-age pensions.
WHAT IS 4/1-(A)?
The conditions that cause incapacity for work, excluding occupational accidents and diseases, are classified as illness under the scope of the insured in Article 4/1-a of the law.
THE MINIMUM OLD-AGE PENSION HAS ALSO BEEN CLARIFIED
The old-age pension can vary depending on the number of premium days paid and the amount of premiums. Old-age pensions are determined within the framework of the formulation. The minimum old-age pension has been set at 14,469 lira. Applications for SGK old-age pensions can be made to the Governorships in provinces and to the District Governorships with a petition in districts.
