Japanese citizen Yuka Yamasita, who came to the Nusaybin district of Mardin to get married, voluntarily converted to Islam. A formal conversion ceremony was held for Yamasita, who applied to the district mufti's office together with her fiancé Mehmet Selçuk Türkoğlu from Nusaybin. The Japanese bride, who recited the shahada in the presence of District Mufti Hasan Yeşildal and became Muslim, taking the name "Rana", was presented with a conversion certificate and a Quran at the end of the ceremony.

Yuka Yamasita, who came to Mardin from Japan with Mehmet Selçuk Türkoğlu from Nusaybin, whom she had decided to marry, chose the Islamic faith and decided to become a Muslim. The young couple immediately applied to the Nusaybin District Mufti's Office for this meaningful step.
CONVERSION CEREMONY AT NUSAYBIN MUFTI'S OFFICE
An official "Conversion Ceremony" was held for Yuka Yamasita at the Nusaybin District Mufti's Office, with the participation of District Mufti Hasan Yeşildal. During the emotional ceremony, the Japanese bride, guided by Mufti Yeşildal and reciting the Shahada in the presence of witnesses, was honored with Islam. After becoming a Muslim, the young woman, who established a new life, also changed her name to "Rana."

Speaking at the ceremony, District Mufti Hasan Yeşildal congratulated Rana Yamasita on this radical and sacred decision and provided the young woman with detailed information about the fundamental beliefs, acts of worship, and moral principles of Islam. Yeşildal said, "I wish our sister Rana, who has adopted Islam's message of peace and serenity as her life philosophy, and her husband happiness in both worlds and a lifetime of joy in their new lives."
THE FIRST QUR'AN WAS GIFTED
At the end of the ceremony, Rana Yamasita, who chose Islam and became a Muslim, was presented with an official "Conversion Certificate." Mufti Hasan Yeşildal gifted the young bride the Holy Qur'an, our sacred book, as well as various religious books and works from the Presidency of Religious Affairs publications, to guide her in her new life. After the ceremony, the couple accepted congratulations.
