A 36-year-old woman with 186 criminal records and a 472-year prison sentence that had been postponed multiple times due to her pregnancies was arrested in Bayrampaşa. When police teams arrived at her address, it was learned that she was pregnant with her 14th child and attempted to jump out of the window. The woman was arrested by the judicial authorities and sent to prison.
After a house was robbed in the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul on January 16, police teams took action upon receiving a report. The police teams examined 51 different workplaces, public transport vehicles, security cameras, and City Security Management System footage one by one in the efforts to capture the thieves. The teams initiated work to capture Ceylan Çiçek (36) and Belkız Ura (36), whose identities they had identified.
TRIED TO JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW WHEN SHE SAW THE POLICE
Çiçek, who was learned to be pregnant, attempted to escape by jumping out of the window when the teams arrived at her address for the arrest process. Çiçek, who was caught without injury due to the rapid intervention of the teams, was taken into custody.
FLED WHILE PREGNANT FROM 472 YEARS IN PRISON
During the interrogation at the police station, it was revealed that Çiçek had 13 children, was pregnant with her 14th child, had a record of 189 different crimes, was wanted in 20 different cases, and had a confirmed prison sentence of 12 years along with a postponed 472-year prison sentence due to her pregnancy.
ARRESTED
After her procedures at the police station, Çiçek was sent to the courthouse and was arrested and sent to prison. Efforts to capture Belkız Ura, who was found to have a record of 54 different crimes with the police, are still ongoing.
