A 64-year-old woman living alone in Samut Prakan province of Thailand was attacked by a python on Tuesday evening. The woman, who was unable to call for help for a long time, fought for 2 hours against the snake that was trying to suffocate her.

THE ELDERLY WOMAN'S CRIES FOR HELP WERE NOTICED AT THE LAST MOMENT

While stepping out onto the balcony, the woman named Arom realized that the python had bitten her leg and became immobilized as the snake wrapped around her while she tried to catch it. The elderly woman's cries for help, after struggling with the snake for about 2 hours, were noticed by a passerby in front of her house. Rescue teams that arrived at the house after the alert managed to save the elderly woman from the python. It was learned that the woman's health condition was good, while the python, which was determined to be 4 meters long and at least 20 kilograms in weight, was safely released into a forested area.

DISASTER WAS AVERTED AT THE BRINK OF CATASTROPHE

In a statement after the incident, the elderly woman said, "I tried to call out to my neighbors and anyone nearby, but no one heard me for a long time. I thought I wouldn't survive and that I would become the snake's prey. Then someone passing by heard me at the last moment," she expressed.

THEY STRANGLE THEIR PREY BEFORE EATING THEM

The firefighter who rescued the woman, Phinyo Phukphinyo, stated that pythons are generally non-venomous but kill their prey by strangling them before eating, emphasizing that their timely intervention prevented a major disaster.
