A university student, a young girl, shocked everyone who watched the video she shared on her social media account. In the video she shared, she claimed that she was sexually assaulted by two men she met and became friends with a year ago, and after being threatened with video footage, it was revealed that the young girl, who was questioned in the presence of a psychologist, was lying. CLAIMING SHE HAD BEEN THREATENED FOR A YEAR, SHE SOUGHT HELPF.A., a student at Ordu University, stated in a video she shared on her social media account last night that she went to Istanbul with two men she met and became friends with a year ago, along with her female friend, and after drinking alcohol at a club, she was taken to a hotel room while unconscious and was sexually assaulted. F.A. claimed that her identity, wallet, and mobile phone were taken, and that naked videos of her were recorded while she was in a dazed state, and she was threatened with these videos. F.A. reported that fraud was committed using her identity information and expressed that she had been living in fear under threat for a year, asking for help. HER STATEMENT WAS TAKENIt was determined that university student F.A. (19), who sought help through her social media broadcast, was in Karabük, and after it was established that the young girl was in the Safranbolu district of Karabük, she was contacted, and her statement was taken in the 'Judicial Interview Room (AGO)' with a psychologist present by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In her statement at the prosecutor's office, the young girl stated that she had unintentionally facilitated the fraud of some individuals by having her will impaired and that she received a sum of money in return for this transaction. She mentioned that she had filed a complaint against the individuals she referred to on social media due to this incident, but the other allegations of sexual assault, detention, blackmail, and threats did not reflect the truth. It was learned that the young girl stated she made a post on social media to draw attention to the extent of her victimization. Meanwhile, an investigation was initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against F.A. for "disseminating false information to the public, defamation, and fabricating a crime," while a separate investigation was launched regarding the fraud incident to clarify the matter concerning the individuals mentioned in her statement. IT HAD SPURRED ACTION FROM MINISTERSInterior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that contact had been made with F.A., saying, "In coordination with the Karabük Governorship, the Karabük Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Provincial Police Department, and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, security and protection measures for our girl have been ensured. Our girl is under the protection of our state. The investigation has begun for our girl to take her statement in the courthouse 'Judicial Interview Room' with a psychologist present by our Karabük Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A detailed investigation into the allegations related to the matter is ongoing, and further information will be provided regarding developments." Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş also made a statement following F.A.'s request for help, saying, "On October 18, 2024, for our girl F.A., whose situation was reflected on social media, necessary work is being carried out rapidly in coordination with our Ministry of Interior and relevant units through our Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. Security and protection measures for our girl have been ensured. We will take the necessary steps for our girl to benefit from our appropriate social service models. We are closely monitoring the process."
