An incident that wounded consciences occurred at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. A person left their cat inside their vehicle and went abroad. Police teams intervened in the situation upon citizens' reports and rescued the cat.

Citizens who noticed a cat locked inside its owner's car in the closed parking lot of Ankara Esenboğa Airport reported the situation to the police officers assigned to the Airport Protection Branch Directorate.

THE OWNER LEFT THE CAT IN THE CAR AND WENT ABROAD

The cat trapped in the vehicle was rescued by the police teams and taken to a veterinarian for a health check. The police teams identified the cat's owner through the vehicle's license plate and attempted to reach them. During the investigation, it was determined that the cat's owner was abroad during the calls and had traveled after leaving the cat in the car. It was learned that legal action was taken against the cat's owner for violating the Animal Rights Protection Law No. 5199.
