In an incident that occurred late at night in the Zübeyde Hanım neighborhood of Sultangazi, Harun Koçak shot and killed his sister Ayşe Koçak in front of his 8-year-old son during a dispute at home. Ayşe Koçak lost her life, while Harun Koçak was taken into custody.

HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITH AN UNLICENSED GUN

The incident occurred late last night in the Zübeyde Hanım neighborhood. According to allegations, a dispute broke out at home between Ayşe Koçak and her brother Harun Koçak. After the argument, Brother Koçak entered the bathroom to prepare the gun, and the gun suddenly went off. Ayşe Koçak and her other siblings thought that brother Koçak had committed suicide and ran towards the bathroom. When the siblings saw the gun in Harun Koçak's hand, they tried to take the gun, and it fired again. The bullets from the gun hit Ayşe Koçak in the head. Koçak collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood. Medical teams who arrived at the scene upon notification determined that Ayşe Koçak had lost her life. Police teams took brother Harun Koçak into custody along with the unlicensed gun. It was also learned that Ayşe Koçak's 8-year-old son H.B. was at home at the time of the incident.

Neighborhood resident Ümmü Gülsüm said, "We had a neighborly relationship. Ayşe would greet us when passing by. She worked and took care of her child. They lived a quiet and peaceful life as a family. They never had fights. We've been neighbors for 6 years, and I never heard a fight."
