It has been learned that Sinem, Gizem's twin sister who lost her life after being hit by a bus while crossing the street in Izmir, lost her mother, father, and brother, each with a ten-year gap, all in November.
Gizem S., a caregiver in İzmir, lost her life when she was hit by a bus while trying to cross the street. It was revealed that Gizem's twin sister, Sinem S., lost their mother, father, and brother, each 10 years apart in November.
The tragic accident occurred on November 6 at around 19:00, at the İnciraltı Junction in the Balçova district.
Alev A., a driver from İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's transportation unit ESHOT, hit caregiver Gizem S. from Dokuz Eylul University Hospital while turning at the junction. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.
Medical personnel transported the injured Gizem S. to Dokuz Eylul University Hospital by ambulance. Despite all interventions, Gizem S. could not be saved.
Gizem S. was buried in Hacılarkırı Cemetery after the prayer held yesterday at Levent Central Mosque.
It was revealed that Gizem S., who had a twin sister named Sinem S., lost her mother to diabetes and her father to a heart attack, each 10 years apart in November.
Meanwhile, Alev A., the driver of the bus, was taken into custody.
After her procedures, Alev A. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the Duty Magistrate's Court.
