Tuğçe Melis Eminoğlu, a 31-year-old athlete born without her left arm, completed the courses together with her fiancé Enes Maraba at the International CrossFit Competition in Kuşadası, which was attended by approximately 500 athletes from 12 countries. Eminoğlu, who won silver, her first career medal, at the Turkish Indoor Rowing Championship, advised athletes like herself never to give up.
One-armed athlete Tuğçe Melis Eminoğlu (31), who participated again this year in the 'International CrossFit Competition' organized in the Kuşadası district of Aydın, drew appreciation with the struggle she displayed against her rivals. Eminoğlu, who also brought Kuşadası its first medal, said, "I am very happy that my work is starting to pay off. I recommend athletes like me never to give up."
The 'International CrossFit Competition', in which approximately 500 athletes from 12 countries participated, started yesterday in Kuşadası. In the organization, held in Kuşadası for 9 years, athletes competed in pairs on courses consisting of a combination of Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, swimming, and athletics disciplines. Athletes took to the course to achieve rankings in the Beginner, Scaled, and Advanced categories at the organization.
SHE WON THE FIRST MEDAL OF HER CAREER
Athlete Tuğçe Melis Eminoğlu, who was born without her left arm, participated again this year in the competition where team spirit and solidarity are at the forefront. Eminoğlu once again received applause and appreciation for her fighting determination against her rivals. Tuğçe, who also brought to Kuşadası her silver medal, the first medal she won in her sports career, in the adaptive category of the 2026 Turkish Indoor Rowing Championship held in Istanbul, successfully completed the courses together with her fiancé Enes Maraba.
SHE HAS GOALS FOR 2027
Stating that her work is starting to pay off, Tuğçe Melis Eminoğlu said, "I have been doing CrossFit for about 6 years. At the same time, I am also involved in indoor rowing. In the Turkish Indoor Rowing Championship held in Istanbul this year, I won the second-place medal in the adaptive category. I carry the first medal of my career proudly on my chest. In my own category, I always compete with regular athletes. Therefore, winning a medal made me very happy. I also have goals for 2027. I will work hard to achieve these goals. I recommend athletes like me never to give up. Once you focus on a goal, you definitely achieve it no matter what the conditions are."

Enes Maraba said, "It is a great feeling to walk this adventure together with Tuğçe. We came to Kuşadası this year as we did last year. Tuğçe improves herself more and more every year. As her fiancé, I am proud of Tuğçe's achievements. I will always continue to be by Tuğçe's side."
