The woman who noticed a married man presenting himself as single on a dating app and informed his wife of the situation faced a harsh reaction despite the evidence she provided. Targeted with “My husband wouldn’t do that, what are you doing on that app?”, the woman was made out to be the guilty one while trying to do a good deed.
A correspondence shared on social media once again opened the saying "do a good deed and throw it into the sea" to debate. A woman reached out to the wife of a married man she met on a dating app and who presented himself as single, and informed her of the situation. However, the woman who gave the warning faced a harsh reaction and accusations she did not expect.
WHEN SHE LEARNED HE WAS MARRIED, SHE CONTACTED HIS WIFE
The incident began when a woman met a person named Alican on a dating app who introduced himself as "single" and "someone who lives with his family." Suspicious because he said he did not use social media, the woman investigated and found his wedding photos, realizing that the man was married. Wanting neither to stay silent about another woman being deceived nor to hide the truth, the woman messaged the man's wife, Ms. Şengül, explained the situation, and shared message screenshots and the phone number as evidence.
"MY HUSBAND WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING"
Despite the warning message and the forwarded evidence of 11 photos, it drew attention that the married woman went on the defensive and accused the woman who warned her. Defending that her husband would not do such a thing, the woman replied: "I don't know who you are, but the fault is yours; my husband would never do such things... Secondly, I'm not stupid, I won't fall for these tricks... Don't disturb our peace either," refusing to accept the situation. Moreover, the woman defending her husband's innocence targeted the person who realized the situation and warned her with the words: "You're quite something too; what business do you have on that app, for example?"
"DON'T MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF"
Unable to hide her astonishment at the irrational reaction, the woman defended her own stance with these final words: "The one who's really something is your husband! What business does a married man have on a dating app? I'm on the app as a single woman, but your husband is there looking for a partner. If you don't want to disturb the peace, keep an eye on your husband; not on people like me who come honestly and warn you.
This dialogue, which quickly became a trending topic on social media, also brought comments such as "Sometimes even trying to tell the truth makes a person guilty."
