In the investigation of the Alihan Kuris criminal organization conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, shocking details came to light while examining the suspicious traffic of vehicles allocated to former Minister Idris Naim Sahin. While former private secretariat employee Omur Yucel was detained, a 15-year-old tip-off file and key names, alleging that the organization had previously brought women from Belarus to prepare hidden-camera blackmail tapes against VIP figures and rigged tenders, were re-examined.
Striking new findings have been reached in the investigation of the Alihan Kuriş criminal organization conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. While examining the suspicious activities of vehicles allocated in the name of former Minister of Interior İdris Naim Şahin, the past reports and name connections regarding "women being brought from Belarus and tenders being rigged with blackmail tapes" were added to the investigation file.
The investigation, deepened by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the criminal organization, has revealed past connections that will shake the corridors of bureaucracy and politics. Following the vehicle with license plate 34 SL 313, allocated in the name of former Minister of Interior İdris Naim Şahin and used in the kidnapping of fugitive Hilmi Tuna Kuriş, two other vehicles allocated to Şahin have come under scrutiny.
SHUTTLE SERVICE BETWEEN CITIES WITH MINIBUSES AND DETENTION
Teams determined that the vehicles with license plates 34 S 7815 and 34 RM 8677 were used outside their intended purpose, noting that the vehicles displayed heavy traffic on the Istanbul, Bodrum, Ankara, and Bursa route. Ömür Yücel, found to have used the vehicle with plate 34 S 7815 in the last month's Plate Recognition System (PTS) records, was detained. It was established that Yücel had a service record at the Private Secretariat Directorate of the Ministry of Interior between 2011 and 2014 and was a partner in Elya Global Hayvancılık İnşaat Sanayi A.Ş. Efforts to capture Ömer Sipahioğlu, mentioned in the investigation, are ongoing.
"BLACKMAIL WITH BELARUSIAN WOMEN" REPORT REOPENED
Deepening the investigation, judicial authorities, during archive scans, reached a shocking report record dated September 14, 2011, shedding light on the dark past of the organization's network. In examinations where Nevzat Büküm, business partner of Ömür Yücel, was found to have a ByLock record, it was seen that the report made to the Istanbul Communication Electronics Branch Directorate in 2011 contained the following serious accusations:
- Hidden camera and blackmail: It was claimed that targeted individuals were recorded with hidden cameras through women brought from Belarus, and these tapes were used for blackmail,
- Interference in tenders: Public tenders were manipulated through prepared blackmail tapes and bribery networks,
- Logistics arm: It was alleged that the "pick-up and delivery" and logistical operations of this dirty organization were carried out by a person named Mehmet Özmen.
INTERSECTING NAMES OF THE DIRTY NETWORK
This detail from the archives became clear at the moment fugitives Hilmi Tuna Kuriş and Erhan Yılmaz were caught on August 21. It was understood that the person driving the vehicle with plate 34 SL 313, allocated in the name of İdris Naim Şahin, where the suspects were caught, was Mehmet Özmen, a name mentioned in the "blackmail with Belarusian women and tender corruption" report from 15 years ago. The fact that the cassette and blackmail scheme established years ago over Belarusian women intersects exactly with today's criminal organization structure and allocated vehicle traffic has been added to the file by judicial authorities as one of the most critical pieces of evidence.
