In the Midyat district of Mardin, the defense of Levent Naz, the arrested husband of Bedriye Naz, a mother of four who died after falling from the 5th floor, claiming 'My wife threw herself from the window,' collapsed with witness statements. While the confessions of the driver who got into the suspect's vehicle after the incident and his neighbor, saying 'I threw my wife down myself, I killed her,' were added to the file, it emerged that the unfortunate woman shouted 'Save me, he will kill me' just before she died.
In the Midyat district of Mardin, the prosecutor's statement of Levent Naz, who was arrested in connection with the death of Bedriye Naz (27), a mother of four who died after falling from the 5th floor, has emerged. Although the suspect husband denied the accusations by claiming, 'My wife was messaging someone else and threw herself from the window,' the statements of the eyewitness neighbor and the driver whose vehicle he boarded, who said, 'I threw my wife down myself,' revealed the murder.
In the incident that occurred on August 11 in the Bağlar neighborhood of the Midyat district, Bedriye Naz, who lived in an apartment on the 5th floor of Tanlar Sitesi, died after falling from the window of her home. Following the investigation initiated after the incident, the young woman's husband, Levent Naz, with whom she had argued before the incident, was taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court.
SUSPECT HUSBAND'S DEFENSE: 'SHE HAD A FIT AND WAS GOING TO JUMP'
Levent Naz, who was arrested, did not accept the accusations in his statement to the prosecutor and described the incident as follows: "In the kitchen, I saw my wife messaging someone on her phone. When she hid the phone, I forcibly took it from her and noticed that a secret account was open. When I said I would inform her family, Bedriye had a fit. While I was calling my brother and saying 'My wife is talking to other men, come and take the children,' my wife ran to the living room, opened the window, and threw herself down. I ran after her and tried to grab her hands, but I couldn't hold on due to her weight. I definitely did not throw my wife down."
WITNESSES REFUTED HIM: HE CONFESSED HIMSELF!
The defendant husband's claim of 'suicide' was dismantled by witness statements included in the file. After the incident, the driver A.A., who took Levent Naz into his vehicle, reported that the suspect shouted to his brother on the phone, 'I did it, I threw my wife down, come quickly!' The young woman's brother-in-law, V.D., stated that the suspect called him and said on the phone, 'I caught Bedriye talking to other people, I beat her up badly. Now I've killed her, come and take her away.' The neighbor H.A., who heard sounds coming from the house at the time of the incident, stated that the unfortunate woman shouted in her final moments, 'Save me, Levent is going to kill me,' and noted that immediately after the incident, Levent Naz told him, 'Bedriye was talking to someone else, I threw her down.'
ROBBED A MARKET ON THE WAY AND TOOK A KNIFE
After the murder, Levent Naz's escape from the building into a nearby market, where he placed a knife on his belt without paying and walked away, was captured on security cameras. Stating that her sister was murdered, the elder sister Filiz Dilekçi expressed her reaction, saying, 'They killed her brutally. She was pushed from the 5th floor by her husband. This heartless man left 4 children motherless. We want him to receive the heaviest punishment and for justice to prevail.'
