The contentious divorce case between CHP Member of Parliament Mustafa Sarıgül's son Ömer Sarıgül and Revna Sarıgül, which has been ongoing for some time, has concluded. The couple, who decided to end their 6-year marriage, officially divorced today by reaching an agreement in the hearing. In the divorce, which was brought to the agenda due to infidelity and million-dollar compensations, joint custody was determined for the couple's children.
The contentious divorce case between CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül's son Ömer Sarıgül and Revna Sarıgül, which has been closely followed by the public for some time, was concluded today. The couple, who entered into marriage in a grand ceremony in 2019, ended their 6-year marriage in a single session.
MARRIAGE HAD BEEN SHAKEN BY INFIDELITY ALLEGATIONS
The relationship of the couple, who married 7 years ago, came to the forefront due to allegations of infidelity, and following these developments, the divorce process had begun. Throughout the process, various disagreements occurred between the parties, and the case progressed contentiously.
CONTENTIOUS PROCESS ENDED WITH A SETTLEMENT
In the final hearing held today, the parties reached a mutual agreement and signed the divorce protocol. Thus, the legal process that has occupied the agenda for a long time was formalized with an amicable divorce.
JOINT CUSTODY DECISION FOR THE CHILDREN
The court panel ruled for "joint custody" for the couple's two children. With this decision, the care, education, and social responsibilities of the children will be shared equally by both the mother and the father.
BILLION-LIRA COMPENSATION CLAIMS HAD BECOME A TOPIC
The most striking aspect of the divorce process was the astronomical amounts requested by the parties. In the case that began under the shadow of infidelity allegations; Revna Sarıgül demanded 1.5 billion TL in compensation and 3 million 300 thousand TL in monthly alimony, while Ömer Sarıgül requested 10 million TL in compensation and 400 thousand TL in alimony.
