A large-scale operation targeting "Human Trafficking, Promoting Prostitution, and Mediation or Coercion" was carried out by the Iğdır Provincial Police Department teams under the coordination of the Iğdır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the operation, 32 women were rescued, and 7 suspects were arrested.
In Iğdır, as part of an investigation into the crimes of "Human Trafficking, Promoting Prostitution, and Mediation or Coercion," an operation was carried out against individuals identified as facilitating human trafficking and prostitution, resulting in the detention of a total of 14 suspects, including owners of entertainment venues.
SIMULTANEOUS RAIDS ON 4 VENUES
Simultaneous searches were conducted at 14 different addresses belonging to the suspects and at 4 licensed entertainment venues identified as operating human trafficking and prostitution activities. During the searches, 14 suspects were detained, and 5 liters of counterfeit alcohol were seized. A large number of digital materials were confiscated.
32 WOMEN RESCUED
A total of 32 foreign women, identified as being threatened and forced to work, were handed over to the Irregular Migrant Pre-Acceptance and Transfer Center for deportation procedures. After their procedures at the police station, 7 of the 14 suspects sent to the courthouse were arrested and sent to prison. 1 suspect was released under judicial control.
