The couple, who organized a henna night with the participation of their family and friends, had Hatay dishes prepared. Karsu, who shared photos from the henna ceremony on her Instagram account, said, "Twenty years ago, my mother told me, 'If you ever get married, you should do it the way you want it.' I said, 'Great, I want a small wedding and I don't want a henna night.' At that moment, she stopped me and said, 'You have to have a big wedding and a henna night.'

Now, twenty years later, Mike wanted a henna night, so I accepted. But I still wanted to do it in my own garden and prepare our own meals with my family. We cooked for days! Borek, Sarmici, Katikli bread, Mezze, and Mike's favorite Italian cookies. But a week before the planned henna night, the weather forecast showed rain and thunder. So we arranged a last-minute indoor venue. Looking back, it was a fairy tale night. My Dutch mother-in-law gave me an Atatürk gold. Mike played my favorite song on the piano and sang it for me, my dear family joined me to make the most amazing Hatay dishes, and we danced until morning. I am very lucky."
