The Istanbul Governorship has closed Taksim, Şişhane metro station, and the F1 funicular from 3:00 PM until further notice.

Due to the decision made by the Istanbul Governorship, some metro stations will be closed after 15:00.

The following statements were made in the announcement:

"As of 15:00 today, until further notice; our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line will be closed for operation at Taksim and Şişhane stations, as well as our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line."

SUPPORT MARCH FOR PALESTINE FROM CHP

On the other hand, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik announced yesterday that they will hold a march from Tünel to Taksim today at 19:00 in support of Palestine. The Provincial Directorate informed the Istanbul Governorship about the planned action, requesting necessary security measures to be taken. Following this notification, it was learned that the Istanbul Governorship communicated to CHP that it was not appropriate for the action to take place on the relevant route.

Despite the verbal warning from the Governorship, it was noted that CHP will proceed with the event.
