SPIRAL MACHINE CAUSED THE FIRE
The fire broke out in the evening hours in the village of Sazlımalkoç, affiliated with the district. According to claims, Z.K. (69) was cutting iron pipes with a spiral machine in his vineyard when sparks scattered to the surroundings, starting the fire. The flames, fueled by the wind, quickly spread to adjacent wheat fields and wooded and shrubby areas.
200 DECARES OF AREA TURNED TO ASH
Upon notification, gendarmerie and firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished with the intervention of fire crews. As a result of the fire, approximately 150 decares of wheat fields and 50 decares of woodland and shrubland were damaged. The owner of the vineyard, Z.K., who was questioned at the gendarmerie command, was later released.
