After President Erdoğan's remarks that "Israel will set its sights on Turkey," concerns about regional war have increased. Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş announced that the Turkish Grand National Assembly will convene on Tuesday, October 8, to address the Israeli threat.

President Erdoğan recently stated in a statement that Israel poses a threat to Turkey as well, saying, "The place Israel will set its sights on after Lebanon, I openly say, will be our homeland... Netanyahu is including Anatolia in his dreams." Following Erdoğan's remarks, CHP leader Özgür Özel also expressed that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) should be informed immediately, stating, "We emphasize that this session should be held in a closed format. Because after saying 'There are intelligence-value information, I cannot say it here,' the speculation cannot be prevented." After this call, TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş announced that the Assembly would be informed about the Israeli threat.

"MINISTERS OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND DEFENSE WILL INFORM THE ASSEMBLY"

Kurtulmuş stated, "Turkey is being pressured through terrorist organizations. We know very well who is what and why they are taking certain steps. This is the destabilization of Syria and Iraq. Turkey needs to be vigilant about this. Turkey is a large country that has managed to stand firm in the region. This is a matter above politics; it is a national issue. The Assembly will convene on October 8, Tuesday. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense will inform the Assembly regarding Israel," he said.
