Tamar Tanrıyar, who is under investigation for 'insulting the president' and 'spreading misleading information', surrendered upon arriving in Kuşadası from abroad and was released under judicial control conditions. Speaking after his release, Tanrıyar said, "I would sacrifice my life for the esteemed president. I surrendered myself. Actually, you can't even call this a surrender; I came of my own volition."
Tamar Tanrıyar, who disembarked from a Panama-flagged cruise ship in Kuşadası, was released under judicial supervision on charges of 'insulting the President' and 'disseminating misleading information to the public.'
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL SUPERVISION
The investigation against suspect Tanrıyar, initiated ex officio on grounds of allegedly making publicly accessible posts on social media platforms with content deemed criminal, continues on charges of 'insulting the President' and 'publicly disseminating misleading information.' It was learned that Tanrıyar, for whom a detention order was issued and an arrest warrant was obtained as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, arrived in Kuşadası from abroad and surrendered.
Tanrıyar, who connected to the Istanbul Courthouse via the Audio and Visual Informatics System (SEGBIS) from the Kuşadası Courthouse, gave his statement regarding the crime of 'publicly disseminating misleading information.' Following the prosecutor's statement, the criminal judgeship of peace decided to release Tanrıyar under judicial supervision measures.
'I SURRENDERED MYSELF'
Tanrıyar drew attention with his statements made upon exiting the courthouse. In his statement, Tanrıyar said:
'My life is for my esteemed President. I surrendered myself. Actually, this can't even be called surrender; I came on my own foot. I would have liked to come earlier upon learning of the detention order against me, but unfortunately, I was on the ship. Since I had no chance of swimming, I waited for the ship to dock at the port. As soon as I reached the port, I went to the police and gave my statement.'
Tanrıyar stated, 'That's the whole story. There's no problem for us. For us, there is only Tayyip Erdoğan; the rest is false.'
