In the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, stone pieces broken off from a median strip hit by a car that went out of control shattered the window of a tram and entered inside. While 4 passengers on the tram were injured, the driver, found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.0 promil during checks, was fined 25,000 Turkish Lira. While a car driven by E.K. was traveling on Sivas Boulevard in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, the vehicle crashed into a median barrier after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

After the accident, stone fragments broken from the median shattered the tram's window and entered inside. In the accident, N.Y. (33), M.H.D. (24), Z.Ç. (23), and A.D., who were on the tram and hit by the stones, were injured.

Upon notification, police and multiple ambulances were dispatched to the area. Police teams took security measures on the road and ensured traffic flow in a single lane. After providing first aid, health teams transported the injured passengers to various hospitals in the city by ambulance.

Meanwhile, in the alcohol test conducted by police teams, driver E.K. was found to have 2.0 promil alcohol, and an administrative fine of 25,000 TL was issued, with his driver's license confiscated for 6 months. Since the driver's alcohol level exceeded 1.0 promil, legal proceedings were initiated against him on charges of 'endangering traffic safety,' and he was taken to the police station for questioning.
