Famous sports commentator Rıdvan Dilmen made striking statements about Spanish footballer Marco Asensio, who has been on the agenda due to the injuries he has suffered at Fenerbahçe. Emphasizing Asensio's inconsistent performance, Dilmen said, "In this picture, I would not continue with a footballer who has a CV."
While the injuries suffered by Spanish footballer Marco Asensio at Fenerbahçe and the period he has spent away from the pitch continue to be debated, the famous sports commentator Rıdvan Dilmen made striking statements about the player's situation.
'DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM ME,' HE SAYS
Stating that Asensio does not act with bad intentions, Dilmen emphasized the instability in the Spanish star's match and training tempo and said, 'When we look at the Austria camp, the friendly matches and the league process, there is one player who cannot play 90 minutes even once. In training, he is sometimes there and sometimes not. I am not saying he does it with bad intentions. What is this picture telling you? I don't know anything about whether he is injured or not. This picture says, "Don't expect anything from me."' 'When we look at the Austria camp, the friendly matches and the league process, there is one player who cannot play 90 minutes even once. In training, he is sometimes there and sometimes not. I am not saying he does it with bad intentions. What is this picture telling you? I don't know anything about whether he is injured or not. This picture says, "Don't expect anything from me."' he said.
'I WOULD NOT CONTINUE!'
Dilmen, who said that despite him being an accomplished player, this picture cannot be accepted, used the following expressions: 'With a footballer who has a CV in this picture, I would not continue. Look, I am not going only through the injury, or I would turn to the coach and say, "Why is such an important player not ready?"'
'ISMAIL KARTAL AND ASENSIO ARE NOT AT FAULT'
Arguing that technical director İsmail Kartal and Asensio have no responsibility in the process, Dilmen said, 'The doctors have probably seen the cartilage; let no one tell me stories. We strengthen you with injections, rest you and play you... The course of events already shows that. İsmail Kartal has also been torn down over the Asensio issue. None of them is at fault. Asensio and İsmail Kartal are blameless, but this picture is Asensio's answer.'
