Famous artist Suavi was scammed while trying to buy a second-hand piano online. After making a payment of 20,000 TL, the artist reported to the prosecutor's office when he did not receive the product. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident, and one person has been detained.
Suavi became a victim of fraud while trying to buy a piano online last year. The artist, who was drawn to a piano advertisement on a mobile application where second-hand products are sold, contacted the seller and purchased the product. According to a report by Sabah, despite making the payment, the instrument did not reach him. According to the information obtained, Suavi received detailed information about the piano from the person he contacted through the application. He then made a payment of 20,000 TL and began waiting for the piano to be shipped. However, despite the time that passed, the product was not delivered. Suavi tried to reach the seller again, but all his efforts were in vain.
HE GAVE A STATEMENT AT THE COURTHOUSE: "I COULDN'T REACH HIM AGAIN"
After experiencing this victimization, Suavi applied to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In his statement to the prosecutor's office, he said, "After seeing the advertisement, I contacted the seller. I decided to buy the product and made the payment. However, the piano did not reach me. I couldn't reach him again. When I realized I had been defrauded, I filed a complaint."
SUSPECT DETAINED
Following Suavi's complaint, the police teams took action as part of the investigation initiated. They identified the person who published the advertisement. The suspect was detained, and the investigation related to the incident is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
