U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that a new military operation against Iran could be launched, again used the phrase "Operation Epic Fury." Trump's Special Representative for Syria and Iraq, Tom Barrack, meanwhile answered the question of whether an attack on Iran would be carried out over the weekend with "Absolutely."

The possibility of a new American attack on Iran has come up for discussion again with statements by Donald Trump and Tom Barrack. After Barrack's response pointing to the weekend, Trump's words increased questions about the Washington administration's possible military steps.

NEW OPERATION MESSAGE FROM TRUMP TO IRAN

US President Donald Trump, in a speech at a rally, raised the possibility of a new military operation against Iran. Trump, indicating that force could be used again if Iran does not come to an agreement, used the following statements: "We could carry out one more small epic fury operation."

Trump continued his assessment of the Iranian government with these words: "Maybe we will do one more small 'Epic Fury Operation' or they will accept. If they are smart, they will say, 'Let's get to work.' But I doubt they will do this because maybe they are not smart." Trump's statement indicated that the military option could come up again if diplomatic contacts with Iran remain inconclusive.

THEY ASKED BARRACK: WILL THERE BE AN ATTACK THIS WEEKEND?

Trump's Special Representative for Syria and Iraq, Tom Barrack, also answered questions about Iran on the program of Lebanese broadcaster Mario Nawfal. Nawfal directly asked Barrack the question, "Could there be a new attack on Iran this weekend?" Barrack's answer was a single word: "Absolutely."

"IF WE CANNOT REACH AN AGREEMENT, THERE WILL BE A CONSEQUENCE"

Barrack stated that if an agreement with Iran cannot be reached, Washington could respond. However, he argued that the US goal is not to change the government in Iran. Barrack used the following statements in his explanation: "But if we cannot reach an agreement and you continue to threaten the world, our allies, and the Gulf countries, there will be a consequence. This consequence will not be regime change. The US President said he is not interested in regime change. What he wants is to establish a balance in which there are no hostages, no threats, and the world can calm down, and to secure the current situation. The problem with regime change is always this: What happens the next day?"
