In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, Tolgahan T. attempted to throw his 4-month-old son, K.A.T., from the third floor after his wife left the house following an argument. When the police's hour-long efforts to persuade him were unsuccessful, the father was subdued in the house, which was accessed by a fire ladder. The baby, who was in good condition, was handed over to his mother.
Tolgahan T., who works as a factory worker in the Çorlu district, had an argument with his wife Şirin T., the mother of their 2 children, at their home on Sarp Street in the Havuzlar neighborhood. After a dispute that arose for an undetermined reason, Şirin T. left their 4-month-old baby K.A.T. at home and went to her mother's house. Angered by the situation, Tolgahan T. attempted to throw the baby out of the window of their apartment on the 3rd floor of a 3-story building.
NEIGHBORS IMMEDIATELY REPORTED IT
Upon the report from the neighbors, police, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. The police made intense efforts to convince Tolgahan T., who was at the window with the baby in his arms. After an hour of unsuccessful persuasion attempts, the police teams decided to carry out an operation. Meanwhile, the fire department spread an inflatable mattress on the ground. The neighbors watched the father's attempts to be persuaded with concern.
RESCUED IN AN OPERATION
Police teams trying to enter the house through the door faced difficulties after Tolgahan T. blocked the back of the door with sofas. The police, approaching the window with a fire ladder, continued their efforts to convince Tolgahan T. After a while, the teams managed to enter the house through the door and window, neutralized Tolgahan T., and rescued the baby. The baby, who was checked by health teams and found to be in good condition, was handed over to his mother Şirin T. The mother, reunited with her baby, could not hold back her tears. Tolgahan T., who was handcuffed and taken into custody, was taken to the police station.
