The suspect Hakan Doğukan Taşcı stated that he is a high school graduate nurse and expressed his desire to benefit from the provisions of effective remorse. Taşcı said, "I know a person named Fırat Sarı from the period I worked at Reyap Hospital. He is a pediatrician at the hospital. The person who involved me in irregularities is Fırat Sarı. He leaves me instead of having a doctor in the hospital. I had to talk to a person named Gıyasettin Mert Özdemir several times over the phone and face to face. I reported this person to CİMER. The reason for my complaint is that he is involved in baby trafficking. This person works as an ambulance driver in 112 Emergency. He does business with many private hospitals. Generally, he arranges for newborn babies to come and be admitted to hospitals by making agreements with the chief physicians and directors of the hospitals, and he profits from this. In these transactions, he transfers babies to hospitals, putting their lives at risk just to make money, without checking whether the hospitals are suitable for these newborns. During the time I worked at the First Hospital, I wrote a discharge report instead of a doctor named Şeyhmus Çelik. I made arrangements. Şeyhmus Çelik and Fırat Sarı are aware of the actions I took. Fırat Sarı told me to write these reports. He is not present when he should be on duty at night. They shift this responsibility onto nurses like me. Together with Hasan Basri, we generated income by selling the drug called Curusorf irregularly. I regret all the actions I have taken. The suspect nurse Hasan Basri Gök also expressed his desire to benefit from the provisions of effective remorse and explained the chain of scandals that occurred. Gök said, "They obtained irregular income by manipulating the levels of baby patients coming to the intensive care unit and by issuing excessive invoices to SGK. Fırat Sarı was changing the blood gas parameters with a program he wrote in Excel and billing SGK as he wished. It is true that the discharge reports were changed and rearranged by me and other employees according to the instructions of Fırat Sarı. I regret all the irregularities I have committed," he said.

"THE BABY STARTED TO TURN PURPLE DAY BY DAY"

Gök, who shared what he knew about the death of a baby, said, "A baby came to the hospital. When he arrived, his condition was not bad, but on the 2nd or 3rd day of his admission, his condition began to worsen, and he started to experience heart anomalies. Fırat Sarı referred the baby to the First International Hospital, where no treatment could be performed due to unfavorable conditions, so no surgical procedure could be applied to the baby in the hospital. The person responsible for the baby in the hospital was Hakan Doğukan Taşcı. In fact, Doğukan, who spoke with the baby's family, introduced himself as a doctor and intervened with the baby in the capacity of a doctor. The only medication that could be applied to the baby was a heart medication. Hakan Doğukan was administering this medication. At one point, he stopped the medication. He sedated the baby with a strong narcotic drug. Later, despite intervention, the baby began to turn purple day by day due to the heart anomaly, but Hakan Doğukan kept the baby alive for about 1.5 months with the medications he administered," he said.

HE HAD SAID "KILL THE SICK BABY"

Hasan Basri Gök, regarding a conversation with Hakan Doğukan Taşcı that included "kill him" content, said, "I told Hakan Doğukan that since I knew the baby was in bad condition, the baby would not survive for long, and that forcing the baby to live by constantly administering medication would not make sense, and that the baby would die in these hospital conditions. I deeply regret the sentences I constructed, but these sentences were made under stress in the hospital environment. I did not construct a sentence intentionally," he stated.

"I MANIPULATED REPORTS, I COMMITTED IRREGULARITIES"

In the continuation of his statement, Hasan Basri Gök said, "I manipulated discharge reports and patient levels under the instructions of Fırat Sarı. I committed irregularities by changing these. However, apart from these, I was definitely not negligent or intentionally involved in the death of any baby. Together with a person named Hakan Doğukan Taşcı, we sold medications by taking them out of the hospital under the instructions of Fırat Sarı and gave the money to Fırat Sarı. In January 2024, I could no longer endure these irregularities, so I left this person and cut all my connections," he said.
