A suspect has been arrested for stealing an English Bull Terrier certified by the Dog Breeds and Kennel Federation, of which there are only 2 in Ankara and 30 in Turkey. It was determined that the dog is a Turkey Puppy Champion and is valued at 10,000 euros.
A shocking theft incident occurred in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara. According to the information obtained; on Sunday, March 30, a suspect broke the lock of a doghouse in front of a business and stole the dog.
THERE ARE 30 IN TURKEY, 2 IN ANKARA
It was revealed that the stolen dog is a certified English Bull Terrier named "Anapolis," and there are only 30 in Turkey, with just 2 in Ankara, according to the Dog Breeds and Kinology Federation.
VALUE OF 10 THOUSAND EUROS
Additionally, it was learned that the 15-month-old dog was the Turkey Puppy Champion at the 2024 Ankara Cup Championship and is valued at 10 thousand euros (420 thousand TL).
SUSPECT ARRESTED
Regarding the mentioned animal theft incident, the suspect was identified and captured as a result of camera and field studies conducted by the Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau. In extensive investigations, it was determined that the suspect was hiding the dog in a shack near their residence, and the dog was recovered from a hidden compartment and returned to its owner in good health. The suspect was arrested by the judicial authorities to which they were referred.
