The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that a total of 1 billion 208 million lira worth of Social and Economic Support (SED) payments for February have been deposited into accounts to support children socially and cover their educational expenses. In her written statement, Minister Göktaş emphasized that they give special importance to services for children and diversify services by considering the different needs of children.
THE AMOUNT HAS BEEN INCREASED TO 7 THOUSAND 94 LIRA
In this context, Göktaş stated that they support children alongside their families and within their social environment with SED, emphasizing that they work diligently to ensure that children grow up as individuals who possess national values, are self-confident, educated, and healthy. Göktaş noted that they strive to ensure that children can grow up primarily with the care and warmth of their families through family-centered social service models, and added: "With the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, the economic support amount provided per child in SED services has increased to an average of 7 thousand 94 lira. We have deposited a total of 1 billion 208 million lira worth of SED payments into accounts for February to support children socially and cover their educational expenses. With SED, families and children are empowered through psychosocial support services, and various sports, cultural, academic, and social activities for children are being implemented."
