Following the decline in oil prices, the 2.33 TL reduction in diesel fuel made at midnight was directly reflected in pump prices. After a prolonged period of high prices, the price per liter of diesel has once again fallen below 70 TL.
A development that pleased vehicle owners occurred in diesel prices. The full 2.33 TL reduction made as of midnight was reflected in pump prices.
FULLY REFLECTED IN THE MARKET CONTRARY TO EXPECTATIONS
In the sector, the expectation was that 75% of the reduction would remain on the mobile scale side and be counted towards the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) difference, with only 25% being reflected to the consumer as a discount. However, this time the entire 2.33 TL decrease was directly included in the prices.
FELL BACK BELOW THE PSYCHOLOGICAL THRESHOLD
With the reduction made, the per-liter price of diesel fell below the 70 TL level again after weeks. It was particularly noteworthy that prices in Istanbul retreated below this psychological threshold.
