Ayhan Akman, who served as the Assistant Football Director at Galatasaray, announced that he is leaving his position. In his statement, Ayhan Akman said, "I am leaving the position of assistant football director that I have held for 3.5 years. I wish our club endless success in achieving our goals in the league and in Europe."
Galatasaray Football Director Assistant Ayhan Akman announced his departure from his position through a written statement on his social media account.
'I HAVE COLLECTED WONDERFUL MEMORIES'
Referring to the successes he experienced while wearing the yellow-red jersey, Akman used the following expressions:
"Dear Galatasaray fans. I wish everyone a healthy and happy new year. I proudly wore the Galatasaray jersey for 11 years. I fought to represent the glorious Galatasaray in the best way possible. I experienced championships, won trophies, and served as a captain. I tasted magnificent joys and collected wonderful memories. With the indescribable emotions of the legendary 2011-2012 championship trophy we lifted in Kadıköy, I retired from football as a captain while wearing the Galatasaray jersey. However, this was not an end for me; I continued to serve Galatasaray as a member of this community. I held coaching and professional management positions, always striving to do my best for our club. In our Galatasaray, which I had the chance to be a member of, we won a total of 7 championships, 4 as a player, together. I wholeheartedly believe that another championship is on the way, and we will be at the top by the end of the 2025-2026 season.
