Nicole Gheibi (22), who was born in Helsingborg, Sweden, established a completely different life in Alanya, known for its warm climate and friendly people, in 2021. Making a radical decision at a young age, Gheibi left her comfortable life in Sweden to settle in Turkey and began shooting videos depicting natural life in the rural areas of Alanya.

Gheibi, who has recorded many traditional memories from milking cows, baking bread in a tandoor, and harvesting vegetables from the garden, has gained great popularity on social media. The young phenomenon, who has reached over 320 thousand followers on social media, has had her videos viewed millions of times, and she noted that she received intense interest, especially from Turkish viewers. The villagers, who described her in the comments on her posts as "not a foreigner, but one of us," embraced Nicole.

Nicole, a social media content creator who moved to Turkey and then to Alanya after her sudden decision, said, "My family wanted to move to Alanya, and I saw this as an opportunity. I wanted to escape from Sweden. I don't like it there at all. I love discovering village life and new cultures. When I came to Turkey for vacation, I saw village life. I loved village life; it gives me peace. People who see me on social media make positive comments. Those who see village life say good things. I love Turkey for this reason. Alanya is a very beautiful place, and it has everything," she said.

Selçuk Paksoy, who started shooting village videos with Nicole after meeting her in Alanya, stated, "We met Nicole 2 years ago. Both her family and she are very nice people. We do different activities with Nicole, shoot videos, and visit villages," he expressed.
