Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, commenting on the legal regulation preparations within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, said, "There is no general amnesty or individual amnesty. The process law will be a temporary and standalone law. This law will be enacted before the Parliament goes into recess."

Speaking about the legislative preparations for the Terror-Free Türkiye process, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş said, "The law will be temporary and standalone. There is no general amnesty or special amnesty for individuals."

Key highlights from Kurtulmuş's statements;

"It will serve as a roadmap for Türkiye. A new process has begun with the PKK laying down its arms. It will be a highly qualified effort. All political parties will be involved and will act as carriers. This demonstrates the strength of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

It will now be an era where weapons are completely left behind. The responsibility for the law lies with the parties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. It is very important that it takes place with the participation of all parties.

The law will be temporary and standalone. Thereafter, there will be a legal framework. This should by no means be a general amnesty or a special amnesty for individuals. We hope and desire that this law will be enacted before the Parliament goes into recess. This will open the doors to a new era for Türkiye.

Final evaluations are being made regarding the text of the law."
