Tensions peaked during the discussions in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Planning and Budget Committee. A dispute that began with İYİ Party Samsun MP Erhan Usta's corruption allegations turned into a fight after AK Party Uşak MP İsmail Güneş said, 'You haven't become a man.' Other MPs intervened with difficulty to calm Usta, who shouted 'You are not a man' and moved towards the AK Party benches. Due to the exchange of insults, the committee's work was suspended.

During the discussions on the "financial omnibus" bill in the Turkish Parliament's Planning and Budget Commission, corruption allegations by İYİ Party Samsun Deputy Erhan Usta escalated tensions to a peak. The harsh argument ignited by AK Party Uşak Deputy İsmail Güneş's words, "You haven't become a man," forced a suspension of the commission's work.

CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS SPARK THE DEBATE

The Turkish Parliament's Planning and Budget Commission convened under the chairmanship of AK Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Muş. The commission was discussing the "Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decrees Having the Force of Law," which includes raising the minimum pension to 23,552 lira, premium support for the tourism sector, and employment incentives for the manufacturing industry.

During the discussions, İYİ Party's Erhan Usta targeted the practices of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) regarding electricity purchases. After Usta raised the claim that these practices led to a total of $53.1 billion in corruption over the last 20 years, AK Party Uşak Deputy İsmail Güneş strongly objected, arguing that the allegations were unfounded.

COMMISSION ADJOURNED

As the verbal argument between the two deputies quickly escalated and tensions did not subside, Commission Chairman Mehmet Muş called a 5-minute break. However, the break was not enough to calm the parties.

USTA ADVANCES TOWARDS AK PARTY SEATS

After the break, the tension in the hall increased further. When AK Party's İsmail Güneş said to Erhan Usta, "You haven't become a man, and you show up here," all hell broke loose.

Usta responded harshly with these words:

"You are not a man! Shameless jerk. I'm not a man... Don't insult me, if you know something, say what you know!"

After the mutual insults, a furious Erhan Usta stood up from his seat and walked towards AK Party's Güneş's bench. In those moments when a physical fight was imminent, other deputies in the commission quickly intervened, barely calming both individuals.

DISCUSSIONS RESUMED AFTER TENSION

After the tension subsided with the intervention of the deputies, the atmosphere in the commission returned to normal. Following the break and the end of the disputes, the Planning and Budget Commission continued its discussions on the omnibus bill from where it left off.
