TENSIONS ESCALATED LAST WEEK
Relations between the two countries escalated again following Pakistan's airstrike on eastern Afghanistan last Monday.
It was announced that at least 28 people lost their lives in the said attack. While the Pakistani administration accuses Afghanistan of providing safe havens to armed groups planning attacks from its territory, the Taliban administration rejects these allegations. The latest developments on the border line indicate that the security crisis between the two neighboring countries could deepen further.
