In Gaziantep, a car that went out of control plowed into people sitting in front of a house and then crashed into a field. In the horrific accident, 1 woman lost her life, while 5 people, including 4 children, were injured.
In the rural Sarıt Neighborhood of Gaziantep's Şahinbey district, a 19-year-old driver A.Y. lost control of his vehicle with an unknown license plate, causing the car to plunge into a group of 5 people sitting in front of a house by the roadside before crashing into a field.
1 DEAD, 5 INJURED INCLUDING 4 CHILDREN
Following the horrific accident, numerous health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the teams determined that Ayşe Işıklar (69), who was struck by the car, had died. In the accident, A.I. (5) and A.I. (11) were seriously injured, while N.A.I. (4), A.I. (3), and the driver A.Y. sustained minor injuries. After initial medical intervention, they were taken to various hospitals in Gaziantep city center. It was reported that the condition of two of the injured children is critical.
INJURED DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The body of the deceased woman was taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after investigations at the scene, while the injured driver was taken into custody.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
