Terrible accident in Kastamonu: Husband and wife lost their lives

In the accident that occurred as a result of a collision between a truck and a car in the Taşköprü district of Kastamonu, the car driver Cihan Ergün (62) died at the scene, and his wife Seyhan Ergün (63) died in the hospital. In the accident, the truck dragged the car approximately 50 meters.

In the Taşköprü district of Kastamonu, a driver and his wife, who was with him, lost their lives in an accident where a truck and a car collided.

The accident occurred at the Kornopa village junction in the Taşköprü district on the Sinop-Kastamonu highway. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 37 LC 890, driven by Cihan Ergün, collided with a SCANIA brand truck with license plate 37 BK 287, driven by Sedat K. (49). Due to the impact, the truck dragged the car approximately 50 meters. 

UNFORTUNATE WOMAN TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE

While the driver of the car, Cihan Ergün (62), lost his life at the scene, his wife Seyhan Ergün (63), who was with him, was seriously injured after being trapped in the vehicle. Upon the notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured Seyhan Ergün, who was rescued from where she was trapped by medical teams, was taken to Taşköprü State Hospital. Despite the interventions performed there, Seyhan Ergün also lost her life. Seyhan Ergün's body was taken to the morgue of the same hospital.

VEHICLES REMOVED FROM THE ROAD, ROAD REOPENED TO TRAFFIC

Following the accident, crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations. After the examination, Cihan Ergün's body was removed from the vehicle and taken to the morgue of Taşköprü State Hospital.

On the road where traffic was provided from a single lane, security measures were taken by gendarmerie and traffic teams. After the teams' work, the vehicles were removed from the road, while teams affiliated with the 15th Regional Directorate of Highways also carried out cleaning work. After the work, the road was reopened to traffic.
