US President Donald Trump's call to "stop the attacks on Gaza" was met with an openly defiant response from Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz. Katz emphasized that Israel's Gaza policy is determined by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and declared that they will continue the attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz defied US President Donald Trump, who requested Israel to halt attacks, by announcing that they would "continue the strikes on Gaza."

THREATENED TO CONTINUE THE ATTACKS

In a post on his account on the US-based X company's social media platform, Katz stated that Israel's Gaza policy was set forth by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In the post, Katz alleged that this policy is to "eliminate threats" and "take revenge on everyone who participated in October 7," and threatened to continue the attacks on the Gaza Strip.

TRUMP HAD CALLED FOR "HALTING THE ATTACKS"

In an interview with Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst, Trump said they were in communication with Hamas through various channels and that Hamas would "lay down its weapons," expressing that Israel "should not carry out strikes on Gaza."

In contrast, at least 6 Palestinians, including one child, were killed and more than 14 people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a cafe in Gaza City in the evening.
