A 65-year-old bath attendant, Ş.A., and a 55-year-old customer, B.N., both died from carbon monoxide poisoning at a bathhouse in Niğde.
B.N. (55), who came to a bathhouse in the Bor district of Niğde as a customer, and the masseur Ş.A. (65) died from carbon monoxide poisoning that leaked from the stove.
THEY WERE LYING MOTIONLESS ON THE FLOOR
Those who saw B.N. and the masseur Ş.A. lying motionless on the floor in the men's section of a bathhouse in the district reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, health, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the bathhouse.
THEY DIED FROM POISONING
The teams determined that B.N. and Ş.A. had died from poisoning. The teams that evacuated the bathhouse took precautions by setting up a security cordon around the area. AFAD officials conducting measurements in the bathhouse detected a high amount of carbon monoxide gas leaking from the stove. While the bodies were taken to the morgue for autopsy, an investigation was initiated regarding the incident.
