It was learned that there was no suspicious situation found in the examinations of the child's body, which was evaluated to have died due to a dog attack.
The incident occurred yesterday around 4:00 PM in Yıldıztepe Neighborhood, 219th Street, Altındağ district. According to the information received, nearby citizens found the child's body in the garden next to the abandoned building. In the examinations conducted by the police teams dispatched to the area upon notification, it was determined that the body belonged to 6-year-old Syrian Fatma Elmuhammed. In the initial assessments, the child's body was evaluated to have died due to a dog attack and was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy after the work at the scene. It was stated that the exact cause of death would be clarified after the autopsy, and it was learned that there was no suspicious situation in the initial examinations of Elmuhammed's body. The fact that the deceased girl had no clothes on and that the lifeless body was found on ashes drew attention, while it was reported that her funeral would be buried in Ortaköy Cemetery in Mamak after the procedures at the Forensic Medicine. It was noted that Elmuhammed was the third child of a family with four children.
"HOW COULD A DOG REMOVE MY DAUGHTER'S CLOTHES?"
The father, İbrahim Elmuhammed, who claimed that his daughter was burned to death, said, "My daughter had gone to the grocery store with her brother. After coming home, she went out again but this time she did not return. After a while, her mother went out to search with our neighbors but could not find her. A person in the abandoned building initially did not allow my wife to enter. Then my sister came twice, and he did not allow her either. Later, when my mother asked that man if he had seen my daughter, he replied, 'I can't hear,' but he could hear normally, he had no problem. At that time, my mother and wife saw my daughter's jacket on the ground. Later, they encountered her other clothes. They tried to cover her with plastic and burn her. As far as I understand, they brought my daughter's body here after she died. There are dog bites on her body, but how could that dog have removed my daughter's clothes? My child had no clothes on. I think there is a reason, and I have some suspicions, but I don't want to falsely accuse anyone," he said.
"HER HIP AND SOME PARTS OF HER BODY LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN EATEN"
Osman Erdem, one of the neighbors who spoke about the incident, said, "The child's family came to me and said she was missing. We spoke with the mosque imam. An announcement was made from the minaret about the missing child. After a while, they said a child's body had been found. When I arrived, I saw the child's body on the ground. Her hip and some parts of her body looked like they had been eaten, it was mutilated. There were burn marks on the body. She had no hair, she was bald. The child's t-shirt and jacket were on the ground, and I covered her with them. I called health and police teams. They came to the scene and intervened. Different things are being said, but I have no information about how the incident happened. This building has been abandoned for 2 years. The police have started an investigation. The body did not look new. I think it was at least a day old. It seemed like there had been a struggle. There were traces of blood around. If it had been a dog attack, at least we would have heard the sounds. There are a lot of dogs in our neighborhood. There are no attack incidents, but their numbers are very high. We do not want to blame anyone. The police will investigate," he stated.
