In the investigation regarding the stabbing murder of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy, Istanbul, two child suspects who were detained have been referred to the court with a request for arrest.
Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life as a result of a knife attack in Kadıköy, Istanbul, has had a request for the arrest of two child suspects detained in connection with his murder investigation.
The death of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was cut short in life due to a knife attack in Kadıköy, has deeply shaken Turkey; a new development has occurred in the investigation related to the murder.
REQUEST FOR ARREST OF TWO DETAINED INDIVIDUALS
In the investigation, it was noted that the detained suspects B.B. and U.B. were seen in the footage of the moments when Minguzzi was killed, along with two other suspects. These two individuals had been detained.
The two child suspects who were detained have been referred to the court with a request for arrest.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 24, Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi went to the market in Hasanpaşa neighborhood to buy skateboarding equipment with his friends, where a dispute occurred between him and B.B. and U.B. As Minguzzi attempted to leave the market, he was stabbed by B.B., while U.B. kicked the fallen Minguzzi.
While Minguzzi, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital, the two fleeing suspects were arrested after being caught.
Minguzzi was admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital but passed away on February 9.
As a result of the investigation conducted by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a case was filed against U.B., who kicked Minguzzi, and B.B., who stabbed him, on charges of "intentional murder against a child," seeking prison sentences of 18 to 24 years each.
In the expert report sent to the Anadolu 2nd Children's Heavy Criminal Court, it was noted that B.B. and U.B., along with two other suspects, were seen before and after Minguzzi was stabbed.
