The villas that TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu planned to gift to national football players as a World Cup promise received a negative response from the players. Team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu rejected the offer by saying, 'We don't want villas or anything like that.' President Hacıosmanoğlu, however, stated that he stands by his word and will deliver the gifts once the construction is completed.
A noteworthy development occurred on the national team front regarding the luxury villas that Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu plans to build in the Milas district of Muğla.
NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS REJECT HACIOSMANOĞLU
Hacıosmanoğlu announced that he would gift a villa to each national football player once construction is complete, as a World Cup promise, but the players responded negatively.
"WE DON'T WANT VILLAS OR ANYTHING"
Serdar Ali Çelikler, who claims to have obtained information from national football players, stated in a program he attended that the players decided to reject the villa offer. It was alleged that this decision, made with the unanimous opinion of all 26 players in the squad, was personally communicated to TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu by team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who reportedly told President Hacıosmanoğlu, "We don't want villas or anything."
HACIOSMANOĞLU: "I STAND BY MY WORD"
Despite Captain Çalhanoğlu's stance, TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu did not back down. It was stated that Hacıosmanoğlu, affirming he would keep his promise to the players, persisted by saying, "No, I gave my word and I stand by it. I will give these to you when the construction is completed."
