Thanks to the earthquake housing built by TOKİ in Malatya, rental prices have decreased. Ali Özgül, the President of the Malatya Real Estate Agents Association, stated that rental prices, which had reached up to 30-35 thousand TL, have recently been in the range of 8 to 13 thousand TL.
In Malatya, one of the 11 provinces affected by the disaster of the century, there has been a significant decrease in rental prices following the delivery of completed earthquake housing to their rightful owners.
RENTALS HAD REACHED 30-35 THOUSAND TL
In Malatya, approximately 19 thousand housing units completed by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) and whose lottery has been drawn have reduced rental prices that had reached up to 30-35 thousand TL. Ali Özgül, the President of the Malatya Real Estate Agents Association, stated that they expect significant activity in the real estate sector with the deliveries of permanent housing and the new marketplace expected to be completed in 2025, and he mentioned that there will be even greater decreases in rental prices.
FELL TO THE RANGE OF 8 TO 13 THOUSAND
Özgül expressed that there are around a thousand rental apartments listed in the city, noting that rental prices that had reached up to 30-35 thousand TL have recently been fluctuating in the range of 8 to 13 thousand TL. He also stated that the decrease in rental prices will continue in 2025, adding that the rental prices of the housing units completed by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) and whose lottery has been drawn will provide a balance in rental prices.
