Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that they have initiated the necessary procedures to include the Pertek Bridge, planned for an uninterrupted road connection between Elazığ and Tunceli, in the Investment Program. Minister Uraloğlu stated, "We anticipate the project to be completed within 5-6 years once the construction process begins at the end of the process we will carry out within the framework of budget opportunities."
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu made a statement regarding the Pertek Bridge, whose project studies are ongoing and which will reduce the current 2-hour travel time between Elazig and Tunceli to approximately 30 minutes. Minister Uraloglu said, "With the Pertek Bridge, planned to cross the Keban Dam Lake, built on the Euphrates River between Elazig and Tunceli, by road without interruption, we will establish an uninterrupted highway connection between the two provinces."
"WE FORESEE COMPLETING IT IN 5-6 YEARS"
Uraloglu, noting that the implementation project studies for the bridge are ongoing, stated that they have initiated the necessary procedures to include the project in the Investment Program, and said, "Of course, at the end of the process we will carry out within the framework of budget opportunities, we foresee the project being completed within a 5-6 year construction period once the construction phase begins."
Uraloglu, stating that the crossing will be provided with two approach bridges and a cable-supported special bridge system, said, "We are designing our main bridge with a cable-stayed bridge system. We will overcome the water depth reaching approximately 100 meters in Keban Dam Lake with project-specific advanced engineering solutions."
Uraloglu included the following statements: "With our goal of a terror-free Turkey, we aim to further strengthen the environment of peace and security in our region with investments, production, trade, and employment. If the Pertek Bridge is realized, an uninterrupted highway connection will be established between Elazig and Tunceli. Thus, while contributing to the economic and social mobility of the region, new opportunities will be opened in many areas from tourism to trade."
