The 2026 Public Personnel Selection Examination for Secondary Education (2026-KPSS Secondary Education), organized by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), started at 10:15 in 81 provinces. In the exam, for which 2 million 985 thousand 438 candidates applied, candidates will answer 120 questions in 130 minutes. The results of the exam, which will end at 12:25, will be announced on November 19.
The 2026-KPSS Secondary Education exam, for which approximately 3 million candidates applied, has started simultaneously across the country. A total of 415,502 people are on duty at the exam.
254 EXAM CENTERS ARE BEING USED IN 81 PROVINCES
For the exam, 254 exam centers, 9,632 buildings, and 167,820 halls are being used in 81 provinces. Candidates were not admitted to the exam buildings after 10:00 a.m. Candidates were given 130 minutes to answer 120 questions consisting of the “general aptitude” and “general knowledge” tests. Candidates with disabilities will be able to use an extra 30 minutes.
1 MILLION 448 THOUSAND OF THE APPLICANTS ARE WOMEN
Of the candidates who applied for the exam, 1,448,945 are women and 1,536,493 are men. Among the applicants, there are 11,984 candidates with disabilities, while 7,823 candidates who are relatives of martyrs and veterans were exempted from the exam fee. In 194 buildings prepared in penal institutions, 3,748 candidates are taking the exam.
415,502 EXAM STAFF ARE ON DUTY
In addition to 415,502 exam staff, 32,806 security officers and 578 ÖSYM representatives are on duty at the exam. Civil registry offices were kept open on the exam day for candidates who lost their IDs or have IDs without photographs.
“PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE, LET US STAY SILENT”
ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy stated that the number of exam centers was increased by 27 compared to 2024, reaching 254, and said, “If necessary, let us take the exam to where the candidate is and lighten the candidate’s burden.” Ersoy, who asked for public support for the exam day, called out, “On Sunday, when approximately 3 million people take the exam, let us please be considerate as a society and stay silent.” Ersoy also emphasized that traffic should not form around exam buildings and that work that would cause noise should be suspended until the end of the exam.
WHEN WILL THE RESULTS BE ANNOUNCED?
The results of the exam, which will end at 12:25, will be announced on November 19 according to ÖSYM’s 2026 exam calendar. Candidates will be able to access their results from ÖSYM’s results system using their Republic of Turkey ID numbers and ÖSYM passwords.
