During the discussion of the articles of the bill to increase the lowest pension in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, a roll call controversy arose. Following the submission of a roll call slip on behalf of an AK Party deputy who was not present in the General Assembly hall, CHP and İYİ Party deputies walked to the podium. Speaking about the crisis after the break, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan stated, "Whoever sent this paper, even though they were not present, is immoral; whoever brought it is immoral."
Before the discussions on the regulation that increases the lowest pension, a roll call debate erupted in the TBMM General Assembly. A break was called as CHP and İYİ Party deputies walked to the podium, while Celal Adan from the TBMM General Assembly reacted strongly to the events.
THE PENSION WAS BEING DISCUSSED
The TBMM General Assembly convened under the chairmanship of Celal Adan. The discussions on the articles of the Law Proposal for Amending Certain Laws and the Decree Law No. 375, which includes an increase in the lowest pension, were initiated. While the discussions on the articles of the law proposal were conducted section by section, the first part covers articles 1-8.
A BALLOT WAS GIVEN IN THE NAME OF AN AK PARTY DEPUTY NOT PRESENT IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Before moving on to the discussions of the 7th article, which provides an increase in pensions, the CHP requested a roll call in the General Assembly. Following this request, TBMM Deputy Chairman Celal Adan initiated the roll call. After a ballot was given in the name of an AK Party deputy who was not present in the General Assembly hall, CHP and İYİ Party deputies walked to the General Assembly podium. In response, Adan announced a 10-minute break in the General Assembly.
CELAL ADAN WENT CRAZY: IMMORAL
After the break, TBMM Deputy Chairman Celal Adan stated, "Today, serious disrespect has been shown here under my management, rudeness has been displayed. Whoever sent this paper, despite not being here, is immoral; whoever brought it is immoral. I want to express that I am seriously offended. This disrespect does not suit the TBMM," he said.
