The AK Party mayoral candidates for the 19 districts in Istanbul have been announced.

Before the major congress to be held on February 8, 2025, an important development occurred in the AK Party. AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Candidate Abdullah Özdemir announced the chairman candidates for 19 districts in Istanbul. AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, who congratulated the new chairman candidates, also thanked the outgoing administration for their services.

ERDOĞAN VISITED THE PROVINCIAL CHAIRMANSHIP

Preparations for the 8th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress, planned to be held on February 8, 2025, are continuing intensively in the AK Party. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman's office yesterday and today. During the two-day meetings, Erdoğan and the organization members held a meeting regarding the new term. In the intense discussions, work was done on the lists, and the names to walk together in the new term were finalized.

CANDIDATES FOR THE CHAIRMEN OF 19 DISTRICTS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

This evening, a significant development took place. Bağcılar Mayor and also AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Candidate Abdullah Özdemir stated on his social media account that the new chairman candidates for 19 districts in Istanbul have been determined. Özdemir announced the names of the chairman candidates for the 19 districts, who were nominated with the preferences of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Özdemir also wished that the new term would be beneficial for Istanbul.

AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, in his statement regarding the matter, congratulated the district chairman candidates determined by the President's preferences and wished success to the newly elected district administrations. Kabaktepe also thanked all the district chairmen and administrations who have worked with great dedication and determination until today for all their efforts and services.
