The head of Hamas' military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, was replaced by Yahya Sinwar following the assassination attempt on Ismail Haniyeh.

While Sinwar's moves against Israel, which has turned Gaza into a bloodbath since October 7, 2023, killing nearly 40,000 Palestinians, are being wondered, a video that was leaked on the internet caused a great impact.

The Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, under the command of Yahya Sinwar, put Israel's far-right Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, at the top of the assassination list.

In the video served by Hamas, it can be seen that the fighters open Ben-Gvir's photo and place a gun next to it, giving the message that he is the first target.

WHO IS BEN-GVIR?

Ben-Gvir advocates for granting immunity to Israeli soldiers who shoot at stone-throwing Palestinians and for imposing the death penalty on Palestinians convicted of attacks against Jews.

Ben-Gvir is a student of Meir Kahane, the founder of the Kach party, which has been labeled as a terrorist group by the United States. Before entering politics, he was convicted of crimes such as inciting racism and supporting a terrorist organization.
