SHE WAS ATTACKED WHILE WALKING WITH HER FRIEND
The incident occurred at around 20:20 yesterday on the Sakarya University campus. According to the allegation, a female student named F.I. was sexually assaulted by a man whose identity has not yet been determined while she was walking toward the Teknokent direction with her friend M.Ü. According to the student's statement, the suspect suddenly hugged the young woman and laid her on the ground. He then tried to drag her toward the wooded area.
HE FLED WHEN SHE RESISTED
During the attack, after F.I. and her friend resisted the suspect, the attacker fled the scene. Following what happened, the situation was reported to the authorities.
SECURITY REACTION FROM STUDENTS
After the incident, two female students named E.M. and K.Ç. drew attention to security problems on campus with a video they recorded. Stating that some roads are especially dark in the evening hours, the students asked for increased lighting on campus and strengthened security measures. The students demanded that the authorities take action as soon as possible so that similar incidents do not occur on the university campus.
